More Details: From beginning to end, our wedding was the day of our dreams. We have a phenomenal church choir at MPUMC and they sang, which was one of the highlights of the day. Dr. Patrick Scott wrote a brand new processional for my bridal processional, and Tim and I served communion to each guest, giving us a moment with every person at the wedding. The weather held, so we got to take beautiful pictures at Lake Norman at Jetton Park, and arrive to our reception at the Peninsula Club by boat. We had the best time with our friends, and enjoyed every second of our day. We are indebted to LoveShutter, who took the most beautiful pictures that we will cling to forever.
We are grateful beyond belief to NYB&G because all of our dresses and tuxes came from the beautiful people there. They helped us pick out perfect tuxes for the groom, the groom’s party, the two boys who stood on the bride’s side, and our dads. They helped me pick out and add a couple touches to my perfect bridal gown, and all of our beautiful bridesmaids dresses.
My fabulous gown was Mori Lee, style 5115, and we added a bolero top to it from another Mori Lee gown. I first put this dress on one blustery, disgusting Thursday night, when I was with my best friend shopping for bridesmaids dresses for her wedding. From the first instant, it was my dress. It was the first dress I tried on, ever, and remained the comparison for all other dresses. When I finally came back to it with my mom, my mother-in-law and my bridesmaids, I had the moment: I am beautiful, this is what my husband will marry me in, and this dress needs to be mine today. Tears were shed, and staff at NYB&G helped us so much every step of the way. It was a dream come true — my own little fairy tale in the middle of the real world.
