More Details: We currently live in SC, but decided to get married in Georgia because that’s where we’re both from. We fell in love with the North Georgia mountains while Ryan was in physical therapy school in Dahlonega, GA. We decided that those mountains would be the perfect place to get married and have all of our friends together for a cabin weekend.

Chota Falls was a hidden gem that we stumbled across and words nor pictures can truly show the beauty of this place. We got married next to the waterfall on the property and had our reception in their gorgeous Villa Campania. The property has several cabins/cottages, so most of our guests got to stay right there on site for the whole weekend. When the reception was over our “exit run” led everybody to a huge bonfire where we continued the party and roasted s’mores. It was by far one of our favorite parts of the wedding because it gave us even more time with all of our favorite people.

We ended our night by staying in a beautiful honeymoon cabin that overlooked the waterfall that we had just gotten married at. The whole weekend was truly nothing short of amazing and I wish that I could relive it over and over again.

My dress was the Amelia style by Maggie Sottero. I tried on so many dresses in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina before I found this one. When we pulled up to New York Bride & Groom, it happened to be the dress on display in the window and I immediately fell in love with it. It was meant to be. The lace overlay was exactly what I liked and the hint of blush made it so unique to me. I wasn’t crazy about the bow belt that was attached to it, so the girls at NYB&G helped me piece together my own belt to add a little sparkle. I’m so happy that I decided to make a trip to Charlotte because it led me to the most beautiful, comfortable, “me dress” out there.
