Wedding Dress Alterations

At New York Bride & Groom, we value quality craftsmanship! A beautiful wedding gown is only as beautiful as how it fits your body.  We have the most seasoned bridal seamstresses in our state-of-the-art alterations departments. We stand behind you every step of the way. Your gown must fit perfectly for your wedding day, and we will make that happen!

If you are one of our valued customers that has purchased your wedding dress with us, please call for an appointment to schedule your fitting appointment at least 16 weeks before your portrait date or wedding day. Alterations are not part of the purchase price of the gown. Depending on the work needed to be done, the amount for the work will be billed on the day of your first fitting.  Payment is expected before the work can begin.

We have bra cups, bras, and slips in stock, but bring the shoes you will wear that day.

When you arrive for your alterations appointment, here are a few things to expect:

• You will be pinned or “fitted” to perfection.
• You will be given a follow-up appointment to return.
• When you return to try on your fitted dress, most alterations will be complete. However, tailoring is not a perfect science, so it may require another appointment or two, depending on what alterations are needed to finalize your fit.
• When your alterations are complete, please schedule a final pressing and pick-up appointment for the big day! Pressing is done complimentary!
