Smart Tips For Choosing Your Wedding Accessories

Your 2020 wedding plans have almost certainly gone through several adjustments. Living in an uncertain time is not easy. Watching the “best laid plans” for your big day fall apart can be very upsetting. The best thing you can do for yourself right now is take life one day at a time. And, while you’re at it, focus on one item at a time. Today, we’re going to focus on wedding accessories.

While it would be difficult to completely ignore the complications of the pandemic, you can still find normalcy in smaller things — like focusing on finding amazing wedding accessories. The bride in the article below shares her story.

Bridal Accessories
I was not sure of the exact style I wanted to have for our wedding. My dress came with a beaded belt sewed on, so I did not have to worry about that. I did, however, need to figure out what I was doing for shoes, hairpieces or veils, jewelry, garter and undergarments.

Shoes
In terms of shoes, I knew heels were not an option for me. The walk to the altar at our venue involved grass, dirt, train tracks and a wooden deck. Given the fact that I trip over my feet on flat surfaces, I was worried enough about faceplanting in front of 200 people. So, flats were the only option for me. Read more at Gwenith J…

If you’ve had to adopt a smaller wedding budget than you initially hoped for, be judicious with the accessories you choose. Opt for purchasing a few beautiful pieces that make a big impact.

So, what should you focus on to get the most mileage from your accessories? The following post may be able to help you prioritize your options:

Crowning Glory
First off, let’s talk wedding tiaras. Why are tiaras worn by brides? Well, tradition has it that only married women could wear tiaras – a bride-to-be walking down the aisle was permitted because she’d be walking back along the aisle as a new wife.

It doesn’t matter how long your hair is — just about any bride can wear a tiara, even if she has fairly short hair (although not as short as Jessie J’s!) A tiara also sets off a veil beautifully and will make you feel like a princess.

You can go the formal route and wear a very regal looking tiara or you can have something a little bit more quirky. Victoria Beckham commissioned a tiara from Slim Barrett for her wedding day (and she had short hair at the time) and it suited her perfectly.  There are also some stunning vintage style tiaras about if you’re looking to rock a Great Gatsby style wedding look. If wearing a tiara just isn’t your style, use pins or combs to accentuate your hairstyle and make it stunning. Coupled with the perfect earrings, this could be all you need to create the perfect look.

Speaking of hairstyles, let’s talk about enhancing an amazing coif with hair accessories.

When is the best time to start thinking about your wedding hairstyle?
We recommend you to start thinking about hairstyles from the very start of your wedding planning, though, you don’t have to buy the accessories right away. It is better to buy a wedding dress, and the hair can be last (but not least) on your wedding to-do list.

How to choose the most suitable hair accessories?
Although it sounds stressful and impossible to complete, there are ways to match your interest with the wedding dresses and accessories out there. Luckily, you can leave hairstyle preparations for the end. Read more at Royal Wedding…
